FOUNDER OF THE FELLOWSHIP

Pastor Wayman Mitchell Wayman and Nelda Mitchell were married for 63 years, until Nelda passed away in 2016. Neither of them had any formal religious education, but they experienced a powerful conversion in their mid-twenties. After responding to the call to preach the Gospel, they pastored several churches in Canada, Arizona, Idaho, Oregon, and California. In 1970, they came to Prescott to take over a struggling small congregation. Shortly after their arrival, God saved a number of hippies and brought them into the church. God began to pour out a powerful move of conversion and growth connected to what became known as the Jesus Movement in the 1970s. As God revealed His plan for discipleship, churches began to be planted throughout the United States and eventually in many other nations. The Mitchell family served as missionary pastors in Australia on three separate occasions to help accelerate the work taking place there. Until early 2020, Pastor Mitchell continued to travel extensively around the world, preaching at conferences, rallies, leadership meetings, discipleship classes, and healing crusades held by our fellowship. He finally went home to be with the Father on September 21, 2020, receiving his eternal reward and leaving behind a worldwide movement of God that has transformed lives across the globe.

Pastor Greg Mitchell Greg and Lisa Mitchell have been married for more than 38 years. Both of them were powerfully saved as teenagers Greg in the Prescott church in the United States, and Lisa in her hometown church in Perth, Western Australia. After they married, they were discipled and trained for ministry, and were later sent out from the Potter’s House Perth, Western Australia. In 1986, they pioneered a church in Launceston, Tasmania, and later pastored two other churches in Melbourne, Australia. In 1997, they became missionaries and pioneered a church in Eldorado Park, Johannesburg, South Africa. During their 7.5 years there, they witnessed incredible conversions and miracles. God helped them raise disciples, plant new churches, build a permanent church building, and establish a conference center for our fellowship churches in South Africa. They later returned to Prescott, where they have been pastoring The Potter’s House Prescott since 2004.

PASTOR THE DOOR MINISTRY MEDAN

Pastor Harry & Nicole Douven We are Pastor Harry and Nicole Douven. It is a great honor and joy for us to serve and proclaim to everyone that Jesus Christ is alive and that God is able to transform the life of every human being. Throughout our life journey and ministry, we have personally experienced God’s restoring love, His healing power, and His abundant grace. Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, we received forgiveness for our sins, and by His blood we obtained victory and a life that has been set free. We realize that we are ordinary people with limitations and weaknesses. However, through a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, we have a firm hope and the assurance of eternal life. This is the beauty of the Gospel—that this good news is available to everyone, without exception. The desire of our hearts is that as many people as possible in Medan, North Sumatra, and throughout Indonesia may experience the love and power of God in a real way and discover a meaningful life in Christ. Our mission as servants of God and as a local church is to pray for, train, equip, send, and support God’s workers who serve in cities, islands across Indonesia, and even to the nations. We joyfully invite you and your family to attend one of our worship services at The Door Ministry Medan. Welcome, and may the Lord Jesus bless you.
